Puketi Forest is an ancient Kauri forest located in the heart of New Zealand’s Northland province. Along with Omahuta Forest, it forms one of the most bio-diverse and largest contiguous tracts of native forest in Northland.
About Puketi Forest trust
We are a volunteer community conservation organisation and registered charity formed in 2003, which aims to restore the biodiversity and cultural significance of Puketi Forest.
Working with DoC we are working to conduct pest control in 10,000 hectares alongside other projects to add value to, and protect this precious place.
